My Monday Musing ~ Mother’s Day: Let’s Talk…

But Peggy, Betty, and Marylou cherished me unconditionally. From them I learned how to feel love, because I was loved. They taught me there are two kinds of mothers – the one you are born to and the ones that choose you. The ones who love the wayward travelers. I bet you’ve chosen a few yourself, right? Good for you – AND them.

Love this Tulis!! I have very conflicted feelings on the subject matter and this piece brings a lot up for me. My mom was the epicenter of a very large extended family and she was made up of pure love. Mom taught me a lot but left me when I was just starting to understand who I wanted to be. I envy you the time you had with your mom, fraught as it was.

So much in common! This makes me want to write what I’m not supposed to say. Especially the cruelty. Thanks, Tulis!
