My Father Was An April Fool ~ Monday April 3, 2023
My Father was born on April Fools Day. Our relationship was rocky. Dad wanted things his way because he was the father. I know this because he told me. I wanted things my way because I was the daughter. He knew that because I told him. We drew our lines in the sand, and we waited for the other to blink. For me it was very simple. My father was usually wrong, and I was right.
Love this, Tulis. Marilyn Maye has pulled me out of the blues more than once, although I do have a few technological challenges waiting in my home office, ready to pull me back in. Thanks to you, today I will ignore them.
She is magic!
I so love, love, love your Monday musings!! So envious that you were there to see Marilyn Mae. What an inspiration she is! You remind me of a (much) younger Marilyn Mae!! Like her, you are an extraordinary, powerful force!! Love you!!
Well, I think I’m blushing! And enjoying it!
I am blushing abd enjoying it!
Cheer up, dear. You will still be doing your shows in 2045 when you are 95. I’ll be there to enjoy your talent then as always.
That’s a great promise.
I can I tell if my other replies actually went to you or not. But I love this kind of a promise for a future get together.
Tulis: Friends of mine were at that performance and loved every minute! Next time she’s in NYC, I’m going with them. I LOVE everything about Marilyn Maye–her voice, taste in music, appearance, etc. but especially how she lives from a place of gratitude. A true role model! xo Maureen
I agree completely.
She is going to be at 54 Below in April.
Bingo!
Thank You!
Thanks!!!
Dearest Rã,
ignorant me! I didn’t know Marilyn Maye!!
Thanks for introducing all this beauty to me!!
Just awesome!!
Love from Brazil.
Love you. Talk soon???
Dear Tulis, I love your Musings, my dear friend. I want to be on your list so hope I am doing this properly! Lynn Henderson
Hi Donald, you should automatically be getting the musings every Monday. So if that is not happening, let me know.
