My Father Was An April Fool ~ Monday April 3, 2023
My Father was born on April Fools Day. Our relationship was rocky. Dad wanted things his way because he was the father. I know this because he told me. I wanted things my way because I was the daughter. He knew that because I told him. We drew our lines in the sand, and we waited for the other to blink. For me it was very simple. My father was usually wrong, and I was right.
Tulis … Lovely musing! I’m listening with a smile on my face. It’s as if you’re sitting across from me at my kitchen table. We’re sipping our cuppa joe and you’re sharing your musings. Your delivery is spot on and always, I can feel your comical, ironic point of view seeping through brilliantly!!!
Happy Belated Turkey Day!!!
You are amazing! Thank you so much for this. Having a close connection to a family of turkey farmers, this story hit home for me! Truly enjoyed it.
Thanks, Tulis! I enjoyed your Thanksgiving musings on turkey, even though I count myself a (not too strict) pescatarian.
The microphone loves your voice, and I know the microphone is not alone in that. Keep ’en coming!
As expected, fabulous!
Happy Turkey Day to you ❤️🦃
Thanks so much for giving me a real belly laugh!! Your dry, satirical sense of humor, with observations about daily life that I never would have thought of, is perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up. Everyone can use a little lift every Monday!
What a lovely tale of turkey. I really had never thought much about them, but you really opened my eyes with this turkey talk! Thanks
What a delicious piece of writing! Cracked me up and made me love you even more!!!!
I love this! Great format and great writing- really brightens my day!
Thanks Tulis x
